Thanks guys for the kind words :thumb:

Most of the credit should go to my coworker, Nelson Torres whom did the body prep and paint work. He told me it was an easy job seeing that I put on all new GM sheet-metal and things were straight and easy to work on.

After he gets done working on his Mustang, he's going to finish the doors and front end and then it's up to me to put the stuff back on the car. I'm hoping to get my new 5" cowl hood ordered by then but we'll see?

Then after everything is aligned and looks good, back to the booth for the black stripes and then a sanding of 2000 grit and a buff job.

Well if the car doesn't run 10's at least it will look like it does......

That thing looks sweet, can't wait to see the finished product!!
I am not really sure what the question is, but I am pretty sure the answer is Big Block.

Thanks again......it's been a long time building this car for reason beyond my control but I think it was worth it.

I kind of like the blue hood idea and thing I'm going to keep it..... :smt005

While Nelson is taking a rest the firewall is going to get a fresh coat of semi-flat black and I got some new trim that needs to be ordered for around the vinyl top and one section of drip molding, It's finally getting there.

I was tossing around the fact of leaving the color along and not adding any stripes but my wife spent the money for thre stencil kit for the "Z" stripes and I've always been a fan of them, so they'll be added in the end in gloss black.

But right now, I'm undecided what to do with the grill, paint the entire grill with a semi-flat black or do like the factory does and paint it body color and black. I like both looks so i may just toss a coin.

My son told Nelson to add some pink and purple poka dots......I think he needs a med adjustment again ;)

Hitch,

The car is nothing fancy, 408bbc, 11.5:1 comp, solid roller cam, vic jr intake, Pro Systems carb, powerglide, narrowed 9" w/ 35 spline alxes, spool, 4.57 gear, 32" double adjustable ladder bars, 130lbs springs, track bar, 32 x 14 slicks, all S&W chassis components, fiberglass front/ rear bumpers, deck lid, weight is close to 2900lbs.

My goal is just to have fun and run 10.0's and if I can't do that on all motor, then I'll add a small shot of 150 to get me there.

I already had someone from Ohio contact me and wanted to buy it. I told them sorry, this car has been with me for over 20 years and I only drove the car, maybe once in it's original shape and only once after it's been redone, so I need some seat time in it. He then said, well if you change your mind, let me know.

He said he really likes the orange color.....what's with the orange color that attracts everyone?

I painted it that color so Chris and John and all the other Nova owners can see me in there rearview getting ready to fly by them...... lmao2: Then I woke up!

Well as I said, the doors are next and well they're in the hands of my coworker whom said they should be ready by either Sunday or Monday, so next week I'll have to hang them and get some pictures.

Thanks for listening.....and Blade, sorry to hear about the motor noise...that sucks!

I glad I could put some fun back into your life.....

I've been told ever since I joined this site, that you have been feeling so much better about yourself because of your laughter towards me.

This is a giant step for you, remember what we talked about, it is ok to show emotion and laughter is a good form of expression and relief.

Now if we can get past your inner feelings of truely wanting to own an orange 69 Camaro, we can finally put a close to this chapter. This is something that your really need to work on and it is important. You know owning your Nova is only a back seat to a Camaro and that you truely want to own a Camaro, so take the big step and admit it to yourself and then when you feel comfortable about things, admit it to the public, we are here for you.

Now repeat after me, "Hi, my name is Chris and I am a Nova owner and I need help!" :nutkick:

Oh yeah, my office informed me that the bill has been sent to your attention.

Have fun on Friday, I'm off but will check in on Sat to see the timeslips...Good luck buddy and be safe.
