Well here it is after weeks of absence here I need to let you guy's know what's going on. Glasstek's fiberglass isn't that great, there's not one piece that I have not had to work on. I've had to grow the bottom of the doors 3/8 inch I've had to grow the rear edge of the fenders an 1 1/2, the trunk lid doesn't fit very well.
What a pain in the ass!!!!! :-( But it will look awesome by the time I'm done.

Well that sucks. I assumed Glasstek would be a lot better quality than that. 1 1/2" off on the fenders is a ton, that's send them back and make them fix it range I'd think. Did you talk to them about how messed up they were?

Yeah, Glasstek usually gets very high praise. Like John said, did you contact them on the problems? Maybe yo've got an extra-large Nova?

I did talk to Glasstek told him that my stock fenders fit perfectly and that their fingers were way short on the back edge. They told me that there fenders were made off of a Stock fender and did not understand why they were that short.
Sending them back really wasn't an option it cost way too much money that was going to be on my dime. I build carbon fiber and fiberglass parts for a living in the aircraft industry so I decided just to fixing myself and move on. I have some pictures I'll post in the next day or two. At this point I only have to fix one more part and then we can prep all the fiberglass for paint.

Looks great Chris........
So when will it be in all one color?
Why remove the outer door handles or doesn't the mechanism work
with fiberglass doors?
Those who think they know it all have no way of finding out they don't.........

Thanks Bruce.
I like the inner door mechanism better......Lighter, no mirrors, no door handles, no windshield wipers. See the hole in the window?
About 3-4 weeks for paint. Mounting the fenders and all the trim this weekend. Need to work on the hood and add the wing to the trunk lid. Then prep and paint. :smt003 :smt003 :smt003 :smt003 :smt003 :smt003
