We dynoed my new engine last week . It is a 562" big block ford . We used the Kaase P - 51 Street /strip heads. They were ported by Charlie Evans / Lawes Mayfield. Lem Evans designed the engine. I was very pleased with the results.

It ran 5.26 with a 882 hp 532 , I Think I might get 5.10 out of this engine when I get the 4 link tuned in. It takes a lot of hp to gain a tenth when you get to the low 5's . I must say I am surprised to see a conventional type layout head run these numbers. I am pleased with what it ran , but I always want to go faster

I'm no expert but when we dyno'd my motor mid 13's a/f was way lean. We picked up close to 100 hp going from high 13's to low 12's. From my limited dyno experiance i think your leaving some hp on the table.

Please correct me if i'm wrong i'm stll learning.

You might have picked up 10 +or - HP, 100 sounds way off the scale. My small block went from 812HP to 821HP with a half a point change in AFR. Unless you had some real bad O2 sensors I would think you may have fixed something inadvertently when making changes if you picked up 100HP. Most engines will run from 12's to 14 without a lot of HP change.

My mistake, we also went from 34* to 40* timing. The timing change with a jet change made almost 100 hp. It made the most power at 12.14 a/f and 41* timing. It may have been the timing change that made the most gain.

We had the a/f from 12.1 - 13.45 . I am sure there maybe some variance in 02 sensors .
Silvanova Thanks , thats at Beach bend Raceway in Bowlingreen Ky.
