Ohio crank?

building about a 700hp sbc for the dragster thinkin about using an ohio crankshaft but their low prices scare me a lil.. will it hold?

If your talking about thair 4340 or 4130 cranks I think it'll be ok. Anything else is a waist of time.

Not trying to jack this thread, but what does any one know about parts from Probe Piatons. They have a whole line up of goodies. And claim to be 100% American made.

probe pistons make some nice parts i would run the in my cars with no worries

i was eyeballing the fact that they have billet big stroke bbc cranks for verrrrry reasonable prices!!!hmmmm 600 plus cubes in a dart 11.1 deck height,boy if i could do it over again!!!

Hi there speedracer, I'm running an Ohio Crankshaft short block for the third year and have no problem with the parts, assembly was a little iffy. It's a 555 and I turn it 75-7700 with no issues on freshen up as far as parts go.

We run a 388" sbc in a FED its right around the 700hp mark. Its on its third season with an Ohio crank, no problems----YET.
'63 Plymouth, Straight axle, Leaf springs, Drum brakes, 31x10.5wx15 Rears 3215lbs
Best time to date 7.99 @ 170 mph
