I havent ran my motor for a while. I looked into my cylinders and saw white stuff on my pistions and rust around my valve seats. Will this go away when i start it up or should i tear it apart? I have not ran the motor yet in the car but it has been dynoed.

wd 40 spin over on the starter with plugs out then light off make sure the valvecovers didn't draw moisture and rust the springs if damp climate surface rust on cylinder walls as long as it's not crusty will wipe right off with wd....
make a plan and stick to it !!

be sure to back off the valves if not going to use for more than 45-60 days and pull plugs spray down with WD crank over and replace plugs won't surface rust if stays constant temp and closed up the rust came from your valves not beeing shut... also cap carb for storage.
make a plan and stick to it !!
