BBC Stud Girdle

#1 Post by scperf » Mon May 23, 2005 4:19 pm

I need some help! I'm using a Crane Cams Stud Girdle on a 454. It has a set of low buck aluminum rockers that came with polylocks that are just under an inch long. I bought a set of Engine Works 78-8 polylocks that are for the BBC stud girdle application. They are about 2.5" long. These work perfectly on the intake studs but, they are too long on the exhaust studs. And the ones that came with the rockers are too small. Are any of you using a similar set up and what polylock do you use on the exhaust?

Hey Mark, sorry don't have any good advice other than you might call ARP up and see if they have some poly locks the height you need.

After pulling the threads out of some no-name poly-locks, I've had very good luck with ARP ones. Highly recommended.
