I need new springs for next year. Cam going in is 281/291 @.50 .824/.800 gross lift 114cl. Do I need to go to a triple spring or can I stay with a double? Comp recomends

p/n 26082
#382 on the seat
#1067 open
.900 lift
These are almost $500 and would need another $350 for new ti retainers for the triple spring.

Has anyone tried the Manley nextec springs? Im looking at them and they seem to be a great deal....almost too good kinda thing.
p/n 221424
#250 seat
#800 open
.880 lift
These springs are $270 and would let me reuse my retainers. What do you guys think, am I tring to be too cheap or will they work well? Thanks for you advice Jason

I'm running Comp 996 springs at 275 seat and 800 open with Comp ti retainers. I don't see anything wrong with Manley nextec springs.

Hi Jason, I'm running the Nextek 221424 spring with a UDHarold cam, 284/292,.825/.775 cam and they work great. Have yet to see how many runs I can get out of them as they only have 10 so far.

Try a PAC 1224. Same measurements as the Nextec, a little more pressure and good for .850 lift. I have dyno time and 3 races on my Nextek 21425's, the ends cam off three of the springs. I was lucky to catch it, unfortunately the lack of time required me to get another set of Manley's. I will be watching them closely. Any sign of the same and I will have PAC's.
