Re: How much hp did I pick up?
Hi Jason,
I bet it'll be close to 900hp if the conditions are right.

Re: How much hp did I pick up?
I dont think it will make that much, but boy would it be nice. I would be really happy if it made an honest 850.
I guess Ill make up the rest with my new plate system

Re: How much hp did I pick up?
Im with Supernova on this one with the ported intake and cam profile matched to your heads I can see around an extra 100 or so especially if the old set up was "off" a little. Average hp gain across the rpm range is the most important thing not peak hp.
Re: How much hp did I pick up?
Fwiw, my old cam didnt take advantage of the non ported heads potential, and I talked to about 10 engine builders/ head and intake porters and none of them had anything nice to say about the dart intake .
Having my engine re dyno'd isnt in the budget so I guess Ill have to wait till May and see what it does at the track. Jason

Wow, may is a long way's away. It would kill me to have to wait that long to find out. As far as power, what are the specs on your heads before and after. Lots of guys with really serious standard type heads and single carbs are 900-1000. I think you will be qutie a bit faster. Good luck, and if you get bored K. I. Dragway opens the 20 th. here.

Re: How much hp did I pick up?
I dont have the specs as of right now, Im just going off what CFM performance told me to expect. Mike said my heads would be done this week so we will see.
I started installing a USED cam yesterday and noticed a nice big gouge that I didnt see before, it sucks to learn a $200 lesson when your on a tight budget. Im going to call Bullet cams tomorrow and get one coming. I had called almost every cam company before and liked the tech support Bullet offered.
My car probebly wont be ready till late april so its ok about the may start. Here in Montana we normaly dont start the race season untill mid june. Also Im doing these upgrades instead of going racing out of state this year.
