1.6 rockers ever lost power?

Have you ever lost power with 1.6?
355 chevy
284/290 226-234 480/494 lift @110
195 heads 2.02 1.95
10.3
My car is not as fast as I think it is.

Not sure if you would lose power but sometimes it doesnt add anything either. There is only one way to find out. If you change the rockers make sure to check pushrod clearance against the head and you may have to reposition the guide plates. Always better to check than have problems.

I have full roller rockers now. Would you even bother?

Well the idea is to increase valve lift if you have 1.5 now you will see about .030 more lift at the valve it also changes valve timing a bit. If you have a set of 1.6s or can borrow some for free try it but if its not in the budget keep tuning the parts you have that IS free.

Switching to the 1.6 rocker will give you a gross lift of .512/.526. It will also increase duration very slightly. I would not expect huge gains from that. But like stated above if you can borrow some it would be worth a try.
