That would look very good in my engine compartment...let me know when I can borrow it.

Yeah Moroso is all I run as well...haven't had a problem at all! I've also used K&N when the shop is out of the Moroso's when I have time to change the oil :)

Never heard anything about Wix filters... What's the scoop?

I've been using their 51061R Racing Filter without any problems

YEAH....we got two cylinder heads on.

Bet you can't wait to hear it roar?

Looks good :thumb:

Same here, I always heard good things about Wix.

Heard bad things about Fram and infact actually had one colapse on me.

My builder likes NAPA or K&N.

I did a search on oil filter ratings and found that most oil filters pretty much do the same thing. Some do have a lower quality but for the most part the better ones do the same thing.
The better ones are AC Delco, K&N, Wix, Baldwin, Mobil 1, Purolater, Motorcraft and a few more I'm sure I'm missing.

The thing here is, in a race motor the oil and filter will be changed so often that does it really mater on what oil filter or how much you spend on a filter.
What I found is that all filters have bypasses and will bypass unfiltered oil just about most of the time in a race motor with high oil pressure. Oil does get filtered but not like you think. Moroso filters also have bypasses but filter the oil with a higher micron eliment. A 27 micron instead of a 10 micron. Moroso says that anything smaller then 25 microns will not hurt the components in a motor. Ok, SO! Is it worth twice the price?

My opinoin is: I am going to keep running what I've always run. I've had no problems with Wix or A/C Delco and have run them for yrs. I don't have to special order them and the cost is half or less than the Moroso filter. I think that as long as you change the filter as often as you change the oil in a race motor it will be ok........ :thumb:

I have seen Frams blown off they're bases so I won't use Frams anymore......!
