Bypass Hose- BBC

For those running a big block, what do you use for the bypass hose?

I put both the factory fittings back in the intake and waterpump and the fitting in the waterpump does not line up the the fitting in the intake. Then when I installed a section of hose, there was too much of an angle, the hose kinked.

To me, the fitting in the waterpump just looks like a 1/2" npt toe nipple that is cut about 1-1/2" long. Is there a different fitting I should try or even move the fitting over into the other plugged hole in the waterpump?

Or the easiest solution would be to delete this bypass and hope that this doesn't cause any heating issue.

I'm not running a thermostat if this helps.

What a lot of guys do is put yor-lock adapters and stuck a piece of 1/4" teflon hose to join them. Same stuff as on an air shifter. See it often on electric water pumps, just drill and tap a hole ito the cavity of the electric pump. Look for them on dragsters next time you're at the tarck.

If you don't have a thermostat then you don't need a bypass.
