Just got off the phone with Art Morrison Enterprises and handed off yet another pound of flesh for more stuff.

Somebody tell me again why I'm doing this ?

Cage tubes... Gotta add a front hoop. You will note that this assumes the ride will dip into the 9's. If after all this I run a 10.001 I'm thinking I'll just drive it off a pier somewhere.

Thats what I was thinking. The weight savings from the bew heads shoukd be better than half a tenth. Without considering power gains! Dont worry harry, if it does not go single digits, you can drive mine as a reminder of what slow feels like.

I'm cringing, cuz to add the new front hoop and do the other stuff I need to have done, I'll have to shred part of the interior. Carpet was on it's way out anyway but I'm going to have to be really careful not to roast other stuff inside the car while we do the cage work. It'll look ugly for awhile. Fast, but ugly.

I really dont think youll have a problem dipping in the 9's, we had the blower motor in the firebird it ran 9.70s with NO traction at all 60' times in the 2.20's   when we got it somewhat hooked it went 9.20's and faster.

Oh I think you will be impressed with the changes, 9.90's should be well in sight, and if they dont.....two pulleys are easy to change.

Just to share blower stories, the first time I ever messed with one was 3 years ago when I built my big 572" 8-71 motor, I completly expected it to run a 8.70 and with some tuning maybe turn a 8.50.... and that was pretty high hopes for me. The first pass out it went up in smoke, pettled, smoke, pettle, smoke, I knew I had created a monster, I coasted through with an 11.00 or something. The very next pass, I messed with some things, tire pressure, weight, wheelie bar, stuff like that......it pulled the wheels while smoking the tires and went an 8.405 at like 165 mph, my dad asked the starter guy if the score boards where right, he almost shit.

That fall the same tune-up went 7.99 @ 170 in Bowling Green KY, blowers kick-ASS.

yeah blowers are impressive our setup was pretty close to Harrys it was only 460" Brodix-2 heads,8.8:1 compression, stock GM crank and block with a BDS 8-71 and 2 1050's on race fuel I think 18psi of boost. It made just about 1000 horsepower.
