I dont think there will be a issue with 9's....gl Harry, and get pics and video. BTW are you running the same pulleys as last year? And did the Max boost change with those heads?

I am looking forward to seeing it run.

No, I swapped out the blower cogs - I was running 9% under last year and now am at 1-to-1 - on paper it says it should be around 10 lbs of boost, but we'll see what it does... So far I've been too damn busy under WOT to look at the boost gauge. This new motor demands you pay attention to it when you start cracking primaries - by the time you're into secondaries it pretty much owns your future...

I'm taking down my other blower cogs too - I'll be able to up it to about 12% over if needed to get single digits on a time slip. We'll see. At that percentage overdrive, it is supposed to (on paper) make around 12 lbs of boost. Like you point out, the heads make a huge difference with the boost nbrs.

And yep, we're gonna try and get some good video.

Ok, I'm down in SoCal, Inland Empire. Did not make it to Irwindale today, too many things to take care, tho we did get the chassis and suspension stuff cleaned up - I even took time out to get the front end aligned.

Tomorrow I'll pick up my fire suit and a new harness at Crow and then get the rest of odds and ends (video camera, window net, install the belts) taken care of.

I'll then be ready for Sunday's kickoff at Fontana :D

Ok, I'm the proud owner of a new blue play suit from Crow, complete with neck collar, gloves and shoes...

Sunday will be the day to uncork the pipes and heat up the slicks... :thumb:

Right off the trailer I ran a 9.85 - I was dancing :smt003 :smt003

As you can see, my RT sucks, but I'm just starting out. My 60's are looking better, but I still need to do something about the bottom end - need to move my torque curve down a touch. I may go back and reclock the cam, advancing it 2 degrees. That would prolly do the trick.

All told though, I'm a really happy guy :)

And in case you didn't notice, my S/C Comp Lic nbr is 786 - I feel like such a grown-up drag racer now LOL...
