Harry, STOP IT!!!!!! Buy Quality stuff and never wonder if it's good enough.........   :thumb:

I run the Dart stud girdles with standard 1.7 aluminum roller rockers and have no problems with this set up.....

I'm going to at least take a look at their stainless shaft rocker setup. No worries, I'm not going to make the leap to them if they don't look good.

Spending another grand on even the lower cost alternative shaft rocker setups is not possible for me. At a minimum, I will pick up the Dart stud girdle and run with it.

Just like everybody else said stay away from the Pro Comp crap..... all of it. I had years of trouble free use from my Crane gold rockers, stud girdles, pushrods, and roller lifters the engine only saw 7000 rpm max but lots of street driving and 4 years of going to the track before changing just the lifters.I think Probe makes some good shaft set ups also if you want to go that way.

Harland Sharp: $1,386
T&D: $1,319
Probe: $789
Jessel: $1,100

I'm running CompCams chromemoly roller rockers and can pick up a Dart stud girdle to go with those for around $310. I may yet just go with that, but I'm still looking.

I dont know the specs but Ill bet Supernova's cam is bigger and spring pressures are higher than yours wikd69, its a proven set up and cheaper. If you swing the extra $$$$$ the shafts are the way to go but if not just get the good girdles and call it a day. With my Cranes I had to grind a little off the corners cause the hit the valve covers.

The funny thing is Harry's new cam is going to be about the same size as mine, around .714 lift. My springs are Comp 996 springs. I'm not a beleaver in over caming motors. Everthing in my motor is smaller than you would think......

Are you sure that motor was built in Texas ? <bland look>

My new heads have K&M K-1000H springs in them. Lots of spring.

Ouch. :nutkick:
I'd be going with the stud girdle as well then, 'specially considering you're already running good rockers.
