cast iron merlin head i.d.

I just recently bought a fairly high end street car with a bbc and merlin cast iron heads the casting is a 1-043 "A" any one have any idea what size these heads are? Just got off the phone with world and they dont have any idea what they are either and they built them.
The heads are still on the engine and i really dont want to tear it down to i.d. the ports, chambers etc. anyone any idea? HELP.

Not sure about the "A', but I had a 1043-B that was a 2.3x1.88 with a 121 chamber and a 340 runner. Also had a 1043"-C that was a "Grumpy Jenkins" signature series. Same as the -B, but with a slightly smaller 325 runner. Thats all I know, good luck.
