Wow, that is some truly sexy hardware !

What sort of HP/TQ are you looking at with that build ?

Thanks!

It didn't make near the power I thought it would compared to the engine the heads and intake came off of. But the compression is greatly reduced for big nitrous, the quench is out of it to slow down the burn, its a nitrous cam and this dyno is known to be pretty stingy with the numbers. It made 758hp and 574tq. The shop owner said its stronger than his 13 degree round track motors that often beat 900+hp motors from other shops. So it should be strong in the car and on the bottle.

Thanks.

Not this weekend but hopefully the next.

Just found some video on You Tube of a 548 big block that didn't make any more power than my small block on that dyno, so that made me feel a little better :-)

Man that's a good looking motor, all the way from the bottom of the oil pan to the top of that fancy carb cover.....

Good luck with it :thumb:

Thanks, the pan could use some improvement I think. Probably a little power there.

Hey Craig, what happened on that one pull, did a water hose or something break?

On the second video it sounded good and healthy.

The first video is just running at about 2000 rpm to warm it up. The other one, it blew the dipstick up about 6" and puked some oil on the header. We had unhooked the vacuum pump for that pull but hooked it back up for all the rest.

Wish I had remembered to video another pull. I lost track of what I had shot and what I hadn't.

Nice little motor you have there Craig!!!! :thumb: You have a dipstick? I plug the hole in my pan for the same reason you had to put yours back in.....

Thanks. Hopefully it'll run well and be reliable. Should be.

Yeah, its got a dipstick. Might get rid of it if I find its leaking vacuum. Doesn't move as long as the vacuum pump is hooked up.
