I'm considering the AFR 227 Race Ready Head for my setup and wanted to know with the 60/40 valve configuration would I have to use offset rocker arms and would piston to valve relief be an issue?
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: AFR 227 Race Ready Head question
I had the older AFR220 with the 60/40 I used a conventional off the shelf Wiesco piston and Comp rockers but the stud girdle had to match the 60/40. I would check with Chad Spiers before buying the AFR heads.Just my .02

I'm going through all this right now. Yes, you have to use offset rockers with AFR 227's. The choices are either a shaft system or Harland Sharp with .050" offset. AFR told me you may be able to get away with standard rockers, but it would side load the valves, so it wasn't adviseable. You'll also need a set of AFR stud girdles.
