Exhaust Systerm

#1 Post by Ls7camaro » Sat Jun 16, 2012 8:09 pm

Has anyone run an Xpipe? I am thinking of running an Xpipe and blow through mufflers, I am not getting to the track much so I figured I can put an Xpipe and bullet mufflers and turndowns in front of the axle, go to some cruise ins. Do I need 3" or 3.5" duals? Any help would be great. Thanks.

I can't wait for race season, this has got to be the year.

I personally like the sound X-Pipes have, the only draw back is the weight of the exhaust system. You might have 40-50 lbs in something like that. If the weight doesn't bother you then go for it.

I used to run a 3" system on 505 big block years ago, I don't believe it was very restrictive vs a 3.5" and you'll gain some ground clearance which might be handy if you're driving it around a lot.

I made my own 4" setup and I was very happy with it, definately a unique sound. The only reason I removed mine was like john said, the weight.
I am not really sure what the question is, but I am pretty sure the answer is Big Block.
