Oliver I-beam rods forged pistons running
14:1 Mullins 230cc open steel outlaw heads I need help choosing a solid roller cam set up.i would like the rpm range to be 3500 to 8000.
It will be in a tubbed 71 nova 9" rear end 456 gears 33x21.5 tires 2 speed power glide with trans brake. I would like the option of spraying up to 400 shot on it... Please forgive my ignorance I should have payed better attention when my dad was teaching me wen I was younger.

Only thing I can offer is to call a professional cam grinder. A lot of people are quick to make recommendations based on that their engine is "similar". But in reality they aren't. Cams of same lift and duration can be different as far as opening and closing ramp profiles and total area of lift "under the curve". For a street car, you can take a shot and maybe be in the ball park. For a race engine, the cam is the heart of the engine and a wrong one can be down 50 hp over the right one.

get a hold of comp cams and they'll talk you though what you need, just give them your info and they will get you as close as you need to be
