CHRISTMAS in October!

#1 Post by shooked » Tue Oct 24, 2006 6:59 pm

Got my spicy new lemons headers today, can not wait to fire car up. Our local track does not close until mid November, so I see 1 weekend and a few runs, if not my neighbors are going to hate me. I also found a local guy that is going to build me a driveshaft with 3" heavy duty tube, both tube ends, trans yoke, and 2 1350 spicers, balanced for $340 and he guarantees it to withstand anything I can put to it. He has been a machinist for 30 Years, and use to do truck/tractor pulls. Anyone need a drive shaft near WV, VA, MD or PA, give him a call Rick's welding 304-258-3527. Heard if the ad is too much, I will edit it, let me know.

You can go to Martin Truck - Hagerstown, Md and get one made for $125 -$175 in 2 days. I had mine made there 2 yrs ago and it works great. :o D

Really? I wish I had known about them sooner. Where do you run at? Beaver Springs, or Mason Dixon?
Thanks

Even with all of that stuff included, u joints and yoke for that price? I am 20 miles north of Winchester. Perhaps I should have done some checking around.

Mostly Mason Dixon since 75/80 closed. Some at MIR, Maple Grove and South Mtn. If you bring your yoke & joints they only charge $75 to make shaft, balance and assemble unit.

Wierd?! You could have been a bit more considerate and threw a set of collector mufflers on that 700 ci monster. They would have dropped it by 5-6 decibels! It would have sounded like a cesna instead of a 747.

Jody I use to live on Henshaw Rd and thats also when I owned the worlds fastest 69 Chevelle...in 96 it went 7.19 197 @3200lbs.... I will try to post a pic of it later. It was in Car Craft and Hot Rod. I was about a stone throws away from the Top Brass....lol See if you would have followed the noise I could have given you a set of Borla colector mufflers.

My brother probably remembs you. I was just getting back into racing at that point, college, DJing, Raving, synthetics, and organics was destroying me at the time. He had a nice 70 SS Chevelle that was black, street car. Ran mid 11's at hagerstown. i am going to pick up my driveshaft today, but this time of year, I want to play with guns instead of cars.
