I'm am currently looking to upgrade my 041 cast iron heads in the quest for more power. I am looking at a set of the fast burn heads from gmpp. They are 62cc, 210cc. Said to flow around 275cfm @.600 lift would these heads be a good choice?
My current setup consist on a .040 over 350, gm steel crank, scat 5.7 inch rods, speed pro 10.2:1 pistons, 041 shaved .020 1.94 1.50 , custom grind flat tappet cam 244I 254E @.050 .513I .533E on a 108, comp roller rockers, rpm air gap intake, mighty demon 750, Th350, 3500 stall 4.11 gears. Thanks for your help. The Car has ran a best of 7.97 @ 86 mph with a 1.8 60 foot. It spun about 10-15 feet.

The GMPP Fasburn would be a significant upgrade for your combo. Had a buddy running a set on a 10:1 355 in a 3300 lb '67 Camaro, 3-speed, 4.56's, 10" tires and it was running 11.50's @ 116 with untouched Fastburns.

I like the GM head but you are right on the springs and machine work. You might try this guy http://www.cfmperformance.com/ Beyond turned me on to him and he ported a intake for me and we just bought a set of his house heads and they look good and are about the same price as the GM heads. He custom builds them to your spec. I think they are cast at the same place and along the same as the Avenger heads that are popular. Jason
