Thinking about putting some giggle juice on my car this year, but not sure about alot of things as I've not really run in those circles much. I'm running a Mallory 140 pump but still getting fuel pressure fade at high RPM so I'm going to go to a Magnafuel QuickStar 300 Fuel Pump with Aeromotive filter and then a 950 HP 4150 carb.
most of you know that I run 15:1 compression so I guess the first question is how much can I squeeze this motor with that type of compression? I've got very good internals in the bottom end. JE pistons and Eagle 4340 rods and crank with Little M block.
thanks guys..

from what I understand, the amount of spray is really determined more by the camshafts lobe seperation. With my old cam lunati advised me that if I sprayed more than 200 I risk tearing up my motor. It was only a 106 lobe seperation and wouldnt allow the motor to evacuate the cylinder pressures effectively. I switched to a 111 lobe seperation camshaft. Works alot better with spray.

John, the fella that built the motor has disappeared, I can't get him on the phone and noone seems to have contact info for him :\
It's got the real good rings on it from JE for those pistons but since I didn't assemble the motor originally (I was intimidated by the stroker application, wich I had done it myself now) but I digress, can't give ya much input on it unfortunately.

If you are going to drop the money for the magna fuel 300, just spend the little extra and get the 500. As far as how much, without some more info, I don't think very many guys will guess at how much the motor will take, but what ever you do, start small and work your way up, watching your plugs closely. You might even do a compression test or a cylinder leak down test before you ever start spraying it so you have something to refrence back too.
Oh excellant idea on the leak down test...I could probably do that before I store the car for the winter so that i can better plan through the winter months. Yeah I may just spring for the 500 so then I NEVER have fuel worries again :)
