Third Stage
I'm currently running two Speedtech foggers on my drag car. I run two 1050 dominators flowing 1220cfm.
First stage comes in on launch when transbrake released. Second comes in on a timer.
I want to hook up a third stage. What would y'all suggest.
1/ Plates under carbs.
2/ Fogger through the end of the intake
Activation
1/ Another timer
2/ Push button activation.
Thanks.

Re: Third Stage
I seen a discussion on this and the plates under the carbs is not a good idea. People say they distribute uneven on a tunnelram. I'd go with a plenum style system. I would also put it on a timer, I never was a fan of push buttons.

Yes I'm now thinking plenum too after some research. The reason for the push button was so I could go without the third stage if the car was getting loose up track, or if I was winning without it. Personally I prefer the consistency of timers but its a hard decision.

Re: Third Stage
run a button in series with the timer, you can hold the button on launch and the timer will bring it in, or let go and nothing happend

Re: Third Stage
I would go with the plenum system and make it the first system. It will hit harder though coming off the line. Pick the current fogger system farthest from the cylinder as your third. We have used a button with the same type of thinking you have. Don't run it unless you need it, but its still plugged in just in case. The system on the button was considerably smaller. We like it because you can catch someone on the top end. We have also hit the button somewhere before the second unit came on for the hole shot catch up and held it all the way down the track.
