This is the controller i am using on my car (pn 15835BNOS) with a Cold Fusion plate kit. Basically, i'm needing a wiring diagram for wiring it up where it activates as soon as i let off the transbrake. I know there are a couple different ways to wire it (1 or 2 relays). The relays i'm using are 30 amp 5 pins that can be wired normally closed or normally open. Thanks

Robert do you have any other electronic devices in the car like a rev limiter or msd box? What are you using to take the timing out?

it has a 6al box on it. i use a distributor wrench to pull timing (old school, i know). i'll probably upgrade boxes next year, but right now the only thing ill be adding will be a two step module.

Not fancy, but this should get you going in the right direction

Ideas needed:

I have a trans brake and want to have the OPTION to continue to foot break with the WOT switch OR Hold brake button, hold pedal to wood, (wot switch pressed) and when I realese the brake button Nos activates. Make sense?

I know I can wire a two buttons, release one and press another,......BUT I would like to make it as mechanical as possible and reduce the Nos Button and keep my WOT switch.

And continue to have the option of foot brake with WOT activation with out the brake button coming into the mix.

Any thoughts?

You wouldn't need anything special, a regular transbrake interrupt relay like above will work fine. If you're footbreaking it the relay just isn't activated. It's Normally closed, so it won't be in use except when you're on the brake.

Thanks - I'll have to post the drawings I've been doing for my Nova when I get them done, now those I'm kinda proud of. They are starting to get pretty darn elaborate. Amazing how many circuits there are on the entire car.

What do you use to draw with ? I'm partial to Visio, but then I do a lot of stuff for IT design, etc. One of the side benefits to Visio is that it'll let you do stuff to scale. Small parts I fab out of sheet metal, strap, etc, I'll first design in Visio in a 1-to-1 scale, then print it out on my laser printer. That page then becomes the center-punch / scribe template for the actual fabrication. Works slick.

The one above was just some cut and paste/paintshop images. The one I've been using for the Nova diagram is Inkscape http://www.inkscape.org/ it's an opensource drawing program (I'm cheap lol).

I used to use Autocad years ago for wiring diagrams, but don't have that program anymore.

I used to run a street legal 69 Camaro with a 572ci and TH400. I ran 275hp nos on a plate. It had a transbrake button on the steering wheel. There was an on/off switch down on the gear stick console so the transbrake wouldn't work unless that switch was on to begin with. The button on the steering wheel doubled as a horn button when the transbrake was off. The on/off switch made it safe to use on the street.
The nitrous would still work with wot if its on/off switch was activated. You can't floor it and activate the wot switch when footbraking at the start line anyway.
Once I started using the transbrake I never went back to footbraking. There's no comparison.

well, i followed the diagram "to the T" and the nitrous doesn't activate when letting off the transbrake. I've went back and double checked everything, but i still can't seem to figure out what the problem is. The WOT switch doesn't get grounded, correct?

Should be just a matter of tracing the WOT switch wire to its power source, interrupting it through the trans brake switch. (Cut the wire, attach each cut end through the in/out of the transbrake switch)

Actually it does, after going back through the NOS wiring diagram again, the WOT switch does indeed get grounded (which is weird most of them are 12v+).

My screw up, I was doing that in a hurry last week and didn't notice they were grounding it to activate it. See revised diagram above.

Rewired mine last night... ALL tested well. We will try it this Friday night.
