Times?

#1 Post by 99camaro » Mon Sep 14, 2009 6:17 pm

Does anybody have any N/A times versus their nitrous times.
I am trying to figure out how much a nitrous converter hurts the motor when it is N/A and how much it picks up on nitrous. I am planning between 200 - 300 shot on a 1000Hp motor.
Thanks

My car ran between 9.95 and 10.10 on the motor and with a 275 shot it would run around 8.85-8.95.

so much depends on is car built for na or was it set up for spray?my combo is doing quarter in 9.7 motor only @145 mph.converter is tight!3500 on brake.i might loosen converter a bit only if tires can hook, need to test more.but nitrous cars have been running tighter converters to get the torque to move car. on a 175 shot i went 8.88 running fat @ 156 mph. so in short give us all your combo to analize :D

ps the other thing ive noticed is nitrous brings your peak hp in a little sooner how much i dont know any guesses here???id stab and say 500 rpms....others opinions???

I think the better your original combo, the less effect nitrous will have on the ET.
An old 12 sec piece of junk might show up to two secs faster on nitrous but the same amount of nitrous in an already race modified engine might only show a 1/2 sec gain.

My car only gains one second, with 700 hp of nitrous.
