What plate system?

#1 Post by 427belair » Wed Jan 20, 2010 4:30 pm

Hey everyone,
Im brand new to nitrous and need to add a plate system to my car so I can run an 1/8 mile index class next year. I dont think I will be needing to spray much over a 100 shot, need to pick up .25 or so. Obviously I dont need a plate that will allow me to squeeze every last ounch of power out of it. Im looking for a good economical system, progressive controller along with what ever else is needed to operate. Also would like to know if there is anything I need that dosent come in a kit from Jegs,Summint...ect, do I need a purge kit?...ect. Also I know this isnt the classifieds, but if someone is looking to upgrade or get rid off their system I would like to know as I am tring to do this as cheaply as possible. 4500 flange manifold. Thanks Jason

You don't need a purge, you can purge a small shot through the motor. You will need to set up the fuel system to handle the nitrous fuel solenoid so that you can see the fuel pressure for tuning.

Do some research before you buy, know what you want first. And it will cost you more than just the kit with what extra's you will need. Get the kit and then you'll know what extra's you'll need.

Try these systems they're cheap and won't get you in trouble.

Thought I might add that the cometic nitrous controllers are made by daytona sensors. If you are interested, and this offer is for any of the members here on dragstuff, drop me a pm and I can get them for you at jobber price or maybe even a little lower. Long story short, but I am in good with one of the guys who makes them and they definetely want their product out there.
I am not really sure what the question is, but I am pretty sure the answer is Big Block.

I tested a Nox Box 2 for Cometic and have been impressed with it. I've got a review on my site. http://www.2quicknovas.com/tech.html

The only thing that isn't really up to snuff is the data logging. Doesn't have high enough resolution at only 10 samples per second.

For the price, you can't beat it.
