need input please

ok well i went to run my system this weekend and it was a no go i think it was a bottle pressure problem tho i would just like others input on it.
ok i got everything ready to go and now it is wired to my transbrake i let go of the brake and all it did was stumbled cought like it got way to much fuel so i let go of the nitrous safety button i have mounted on my steering wheel and the car took off and ran perfect ok now a little info

it's a wilson plate 82n-73f flowed fuel 5.75 pulling 12 from 38
but bottle pressure was high it was hot out side and all the waiting in the lanes i'm thinking around 1200psi or more because it was 1350 when i finaly got back to the pits i wanted it at 900 but all i could get it down to was 1050 before i headed to the lanes.
this is on a eddy progressive and i did have it set to come on like this oh it was like this for only one pass to see how it was going to act starting 30% be all in full @3 sec it will be set next time for 1.5 sec tho i just want to give as much info i can think you might need
but i am pretty sure it was bottle pressure but not sure after that run i pulled the bottles and ran n/a the rest of the day ask. for what ever else you might need i really want to run this on the bottle it's killing me waiting never had any problems like this before and all the chit i get for not pushing the button don't say it chris lol
thanks
rob

also would it stumble from to much nitrous and no fuel ???? just wondering it maybe the fuel solenoid didn't open?

Well, you did push the button so what can I say....... :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: Good for you. :smt003 :smt003 :smt003

Now then, lets see Hmmmmmmmmm, yes the bottle pressure was way to high. And going up! Wow you guy's had a Texas day. Hot!!!!!! It was 101 deg. today.

I had a talk with Junior at Wilson about their plate tune up and he doesn't like to see more than a 5 jet spread to start with on their plate system. Plus, he likes to see higher fuel pressure. I'm running a 78n/73f with 7.5 fuel pressure. Thats my starting point tune up.

Do you have a purge? That's the other "BUTTON" in the system.......LOL :smt003 :smt003 :smt005 :smt005 :smt003 :smt003

We've been putting the nitrous bottles in an ice chest with ice to cool them. We'll cool them down to 50 deg. and by time you put in the car and get to the starting line it should be good to go. If it warms up to fast put a moist towl over it to slow down heat rise. (pressure rise) We've been trying to use the system as pressure is going up to see if it's holding a constant pressure going down the track. So far it's been working ok but nothing to screem about. We started doing the ice chest thing in the Texas heat and it does help. If the pressure isn't coming up just turn the bottle heater on to help it. Watch the pressure if it gets to high just use the other button (purge) and lower it....

so you think it was the bottle pressure i have been talking with others that have the wilson and having very luck with the spread i have not saying it;s right lol now i wanna push the button baddddd lol

well the first time i tried to use the purge button it wouldn't open had to get all the pressure down then it worked even before i got to the line but a no go when i tried to launch just spuddered and stumbled

If the pressure is too high the nitrous noid won't work. Hell the purge noid won't work eather. Too much pressure locks them up........So yes, too much fuel!

I'd still change your tune up to start with......A 10 jet spread for the first time out is trouble. IMO. Start with a 5 spread, up the fuel pressure, and watch bottle pressure.

IF you only add nitrous, with NO extra fuel, they'll run but will be way slow. Really makes them lay over. And no, you won't likely burn a hole in them. No fuel = No heat.

well i am going to test everything once again to make sure it was just the pressure and not something else why can't things go smooth lol thanks for the input everyone.
hey john so going to lean with the nitrous should be safe to a point is what i gather from what you wrote

I got away with it once, but I don't know that I'd recommend it.

Lean within reason with lots of timing out seems to be the best starting point, get a good looking plug and performance/MPH then start putting the timing to it till you see the mark on the ground strap where you want it.
