Progressive N2O & a Roots Blower

I read and have reread an article from Chevy High Performance/ Car Craft called "Huff & Puff".

In this article they added a 175 Cheater Plate System under the carbs on a 8-71 Blown 454 BBC( 825 HP at 12PSI) they made 196 HP.

I was wondering if I could use only 6-12 PSI of Boost instead of 12-15 PSI(lessen the OD % or even UD the Blower) and use N2O to lower the power band from 8000 RPM to 6500?

Or you could put some bigger pills in it and turn the blower harder and make more?? What you wanting to do with this truck? What are you building? Something to mess around with or?

Why are you stuck on the 6500 rpm max ? If your building a good blower engine the parts will handle 7500-8000 rpm, if your building a low budget stock parts blower engine you shouldnt put nitrous on it. Dont take this the wrong way Im not trying to be a jerk but you read too much. The stuff in those type of mags is like watching the WWE its just entertainment. If your really serious about building a great reliable blower engine call Oddys in NY.

Introducing the nitrous under the blower would be a better method though more costly. Obviously, the secondary benefit of nitrous is the cooling effect it has when pressure is released. Blowers superheat the air when compressing it so, you could gain a intercooler effect by using one of those plates systems that bolt underneath the blower instead of under the carbs. Same amount of nitrous and making more horsepower.
