Kit limmit, Bottle limit, Time

#1 Post by jaspermaggie » Sat Nov 13, 2010 10:52 pm

I have a nos sniper kit 50-150. I replaced the noids with super powershot when it was time to rebuild. Was told fuel was 200 and nitrous was 175. Do you think I can spray 175 or do I need a new plate? I have the old style orange bottle with brass valve. Do you think it has enough flow for 175? I am also looking to get a second bottle nitrous express do you think it will fit the brackets? Last I am trying to run a 7.0 class (1/8) I run a 7.60-7.61 with 100 and have run a best 7.35 with a 125. On the 7.35 I short shifted the 1-2 about 1000 less do you think this helped the time? Do you think I can get to 7.0 or am I way far off?
My car is not as fast as I think it is.

The power shot nitrous has a .073 orfice, so that would be the max you can get out of it. Depends on who's numbers you go by but should be around 175hp. The nitrous express bottle will fit, in fact I really can't think of one that won't fit as long as they're both 10 lb. The old brass bottle valve will work for 175. Seemed like your car picked up well from adding just 25hp so you should be pretty close to 7.0s. Have you messed with leaning the system out or are you running factory n.o.s. jetting? Those kits are really rich out of the box and a lot can be had from cleaning the tune up.

No I have not messed with the stock jets. I am also running more fuel psi about 6.5 I think they are based of 6psi. I guess I will try 6psi first.

If you look at the new jet charts they have flipped the nitrous and the fuel jet numbers so the nitrous is larger now.

The Sniper plate is the same as the Cheater. Put Cheater solenoids on it and it should be good to about 250.

The orange bottle will flow a ton more than 175. I've used one on 300+ shots.
