4150 plate under a Dominator adapter

#1 Post by Craig W. » Thu May 12, 2005 2:59 pm

Of course I'd be crazy to do it after paying to have Mike blend my adapter into my intake, but I guess it would work OK. I've never seen it done, but I'm sure there's someone out there like me that hasn't bought a 4500 plate yet, but wants to try a Dominator.

Craig I have a big shot dominator plate you can use if you want to avoid doing the 4150 plate. Just say the word and it'll be in the mail to ya.

How about you bring it to Amarillo. I'm going to start the new motor with the 4150 carb and be sure its healthy with a carb that I know is jetted about right. Then later on I'll try the Dominator and see what it does. So I don't think I'll need the 4500 plate before then.

Thanks!

Ok, that'll work. You might have to remind me so I don't forget it.

a 4150 plate under a dominator adapter will work fine as long as its not too much nitrous for the engine..

I think I'd figure out wich carb I was going to keep then go for the nitrous plate from there.

If you end up using an adapter plate, you could always put nozzles in it rather than adding a spray bar style plate.

I plan on putting some nozzles in my spacer plate sometime here in the future. :)

That's what I'm going to do. I'm building a new engine and I'll start out with my tried and true HP1000 Holley and once I've got some clean runs under my belt with the new setup, I'll start working with the Dominator.

I've already got the 4150 plate and John is going to let me use his 4500 plate, so I should be good to go.

Thanks.
