charging with generator

#1 Post by rustbucket » Thu May 10, 2007 4:00 pm

will charging between rounds with a generator hurt the electronics with the master switch turned on?
my bottle heater is wired where the master switch needs to be on but it runs down my battery at the same time.
thanks, tony

Is it a 12 volt system or 16? It shouldn't be a problem on a 12 volt car, but you should not have the master switch engaged on a 16 volt car when on the charger. Those chargers get up to around 19.5 volts and could damage some electronics.
