Make sure to use the MSD shielded cable that is grounded.

Had a local guy ask me why the cable needed grounding ? I can,t remember :? . Does it rev better or idle better or what ?

The shielded cable is grounded on one end to reduce interference from other electical currents in nearby cables, coils, etc. What the shielded cable does is eliminate false signals coming from the crank trigger wire.
