Question for MSD 7530t programable ignition users
I was wondering if it is better to use a laptop (which I already have) to program your ignition or is there a benifit to use the MSD hand held programmer????? THANKS for any comments. --Matt

I'd say the laptop because you already have it...depends on if you need to buy a connector to get it to interface with the laptop. I've never hooked into one of those so I don't know what kind of connection it uses.
Good luck with it,
Scott

Well I don't have one but it would be nice to quickly change a setting without having to boot the laptop up, other than that I don't think it's a necessity. I normally have the laptop out anyway downloading the data logger info so it's not really a big deal.csvette3023 wrote:I was wondering if it is better to use a laptop (which I already have) to program your ignition or is there a benifit to use the MSD hand held programmer????? i have both the lap top and hand held i use the lap top to set it up and the hand held to make quick changes you will need a lap top to make it work any where near correct the hand held leaves you unable to see any graphing limits are ok set up is very limited.. the hand held is in the passanger cowl vent on the car and stays hooked up all the time..
make a plan and stick to it !!
