Re: solid trans mount
No i was running all poly ....motor and trans
Re: solid trans mount
I have always run solid motor and trans mounts. The rule is that id you run a solid trans mount then you have to have solid motor mounts. if the trans is solid and the motor isnt then the twist can break the trans

Re: solid trans mount
Never, ever, run a solid trans mount. For those of you fortunate enough to get away with it you are lucky. Solid motor mounts and a flexible trans is the best, chassis flex is a killer without something that will give a little. Too much pinion angle, incorrect driveshaft length will also break cases. My dad broke a bunch before figuring it out in a Camaro. A roll bar/roll cage and subframe connectors will do wonders to help with flex.

Re: solid trans mount
I have always ran steel motor mounts and a stock trans mount. The car is going to flex and something has to give. Dedenbear trans now, but plenty of stock turbo 350 cases. Best 60foot times 118............... Great, now Im going to have trans problems. Thanks
Re: solid trans mount
I run solid frame mounts, no rubber inside them. Solid motor mounts home made from 3/8" steel, and a rubber transmission mount. No problems. I wouldn't even consider running a solid tranny mount.
