finish line rpm tire gear

#1 Post by jaspermaggie » Tue Apr 15, 2008 7:49 pm

I need to know what tire size will give me 1/4 rpm under 6000. I have a 55 chevy 3500lb, 355, trickflow 420hp kit (64cc heads 195 2.02,1.6 hydro cam 480-494 2800-6200rpm rpm) 750 vac holley, rpm air gap, th350, 3000stall, 3.73 and 100 nitrous on at 3000. I am looking at a 26" or 27". Last time out I had a 2400 stall (to low) 4.11, 26" street tier and ran out of gear well before finish.
My car is not as fast as I think it is.

Here are some calc.

You will first need to calc a MPH estamate.

Also, I think with an auto you will need to allow for some converter slip??
