What tire to buy for best ET?

#1 Post by hugger73hatch » Mon May 05, 2008 9:27 pm

Right now I run a 28/11.50 x 15 ET Street. I can fit a 28/9 x 15 ET drag on the car. Just want peoples opinion on what tire will give the best ETs. They don't need to be street legal, I just want them to have a good bite and get the best possible ETs.

Do they make a stiffwall slick in that size? Maybe the new Hoosier drag radial?

Someone this weekend mentioned that tire to me. They told me they picked up .2 in ET by going to that tire.

Could not find one in that size. I did find one close in a DOT radial, but you aren't referring to the DOT are you?

I ran the old firestone tires (now Phoenix) I went 1.43 60' with old leaf springs and slapper bars in a 3200 lb car with 8" converter and foot brake
