Strange Pro Brakes front and rear.. What Fluid???
I went to autozone to see what brake fluids they had and I know that strange says to use DOT 3 or 4 and do not use the DOT 5 silicone base brake fluid.. But I noticed that some of the brands like Prestone and Valvoline said it was for DOT 3 & 4 Synthetic?? Are all DOT 3 & 4 brake fluids synthetic?
What type and brands do you guys use??
I have always heard that synthetic fluids tend to wanna leak more over the conventional stuff...

The synthetic is ok, just don't use the silicone based fluids. For drag racing I don't think it's that big an issue as compared to what a circle track car needs. I've been using Valvoline Synpower, it's a synthetic and has a 500* boiling point. Seems to work fine.

Thanks John for the info!
Is this the stuff that you use? This is what I saw at autozone.

The bottle looks a little different but names the same.

They might have changed the bottle, but all the specs are the same as you use, right?

Looks like I've got two bottles, the old one says 500* and the new one looks like what you posted and says 480* - either one should do fine far as I know.

Adam on my wilwoods I asked them what to use and they said of coarse use their fluid but if i was going to use somebody elses fluid to use the valvoline. I used the valvoline in mine and they did change the bottle, I even got lucky enough to get all the old bottle stuff free from work when they went to the new bottle!

Cool, thanks Sam . I went to autozone and got a big bottle of it. Now I just have to tighten everything down and bleed those bad boyz!
