So at my new job (working for a dealer selling cars/trucks) I spoke to the head trans guy. He would be willing to put a glide together for me if I supply the parts. So, I'm wanting to know what are the good parts :)
Trans brake
Shift kit
Clutches
Bands
All the stuff I need.. Is there a kit that others have used? I would love some advise here. Thanks in advance..

How much power are you going to run through it?

Check out www.tsr-racing.com. They have all you need for PG's, and a PG book worth getting that will give you great insight into what to do with a PG. It depends on what class, how fast, and how heavy the car is as to some of what you need, a good input shaft, high gear clutch hub and a dual ring servo piston would be a minimum as well as a 1.76 gear set. Do not use the 1.82 gear set for anything other than a street only car.

Re: Powerglide parts or kit??
This would be for a street strip combo. Last time on the dyno I made 430rwhp through a 4L80E with the converter locked (390rwhp unlocked). I also have a 2 stage kit jetted for 100 in the fist stage and an additional 200 in the second stage. Truck should weigh close to 3,400lbs with me in it and a glide vs the 80E.
Thanks again..
Thanks again..
