I was shifting between 6200-6500 on all the runs.. all my runs where in the 11.09-11.03 range ....getting quicker as it cooled down. the 11.03 was shifted @6300. My last run of the night I shifted at 6500 and the car slowed to a 11.06 from the 11.03.
I will do more testing at my home track since I know what it runs here. The alt. in Phoenix was messing with the carb a little... when I lunched the car would lift hard pulling both wheels then crap out a little...squirters too small??

My car started doing this when it started trying to pull the wheels. I put jet extensions in the back bowl and it fixed it, pulling the wheels up an inch or two. My car was running 7.38 1/8ths at that point.

Do you foot brake or t-brake? If you t-brake your squirters shouldn't be affecting launch just getting on the converter...in my opinion.

sometimes mine will yank em about 10-12" My best 60 last night was only a 1.62 but it was pulling up harder then it will in Tucson ( I was in Phoenix). I foot brake the car and it ran a 7.07@99 ( in Tucson my best 1/8 was a 7.21@98).

It wasnt real bad just something I noticed..

I will be at all the test n tunes at SIR this year (not many left because SIR sucks!) Will be hitting Firebird alot since they actually have test n tunes in nov and dec...

The car hooks great no tire spin at all...I think the low 60 foot is just low HP :D the best 60 with this motor has been 1.596 the old stock 350 on a 100 shot went 1.573. I wonder if some of it could be front end set up..it has coil overs with lakewood 70-30s off of my old 99 GT. The springs are a bit stiff and the front end is not very "loose". I just got some adjustable Strange struts and 110 lbs & 135 lbs springs to play with. so maybe that will help. I also want to do a rear anti roll bar and get rid of the air bags..

Here is all my 60 foots with this motor...yes they all suck

Your right they do suck ( SIR) and your 60's :D . Ill try to get to the next tnt maybe we can figure something out (not that Im some kind of expert but I might see somthing you dont). You should easily be in the mid 1.5's with what you have so I think something is a little off.

My car use to be the same way before suspension work. Its gone 10.50's @130 with 60's in the mid 1.60's
After susp work it would go 10.30's-40's@ 130 with 60's in the high 1.40's low 1.50's without touching the engine or carb just suspension.

I have done a little work to the suspension...installed the Strange adjustable struts, removed my 178# coil ovvers and went to 110#.. car still 60 foots for shit! here are my last runs...no change in my 60 :attack:

1.671 4.805 7.351 96.62 9.534 11.379 122.06
1.69 4.747 7.277 97.12 9.456 11.300 122.09
1.668 4.77 7.331 95.76 9.54 11.401 120.53
1.683 4.701 7.212 97.62 9.384 11.222 122.53

Here is a pic.... well it looks like it can 60  POS!

Those runs are from 12-12-09 the DA was around 2700'-3200' only thing I am doing to the rear is playing with air bag psi-preload and tire psi. I have ran the slick from 13 psi down to 6 psi with no change at all!!! I have non adjustable arms so I am SOL on that. I am thinking about doing a anti roll bar next???

If the air bag is making your car launch straight get rid of it and get an ARB if not I dont think the ARB is going to help the 60's. What is the angle like on you LCA's is it straight,up or down in the front? What kind of burnout do you do and how do you launch the car, footbrake or transbrake what rpm do you hold the car at? Are you going to SIR anytime soon if so I want to go Im dying to go and help somebody even if its just to see the car leave the line.

I foot brake the car, I can only hold it at 3000 and that is really hard so I usually hold it at 2000 and flash it on yellow. I will go and take measurements on the rear and let you know..

My next race will be at Speed World on 1-16-2010...Ford v Chevy race....after that I will be at all the TnT at SIR..
