Master Cylinder for Disc Front / Drum Brakes?

Hey guys,

Can anyone recommend any Master Cylinders for a Disc-Front / Drum-Back setup? I've only come across the company Master Power Brake.

I used a '89 Dodge D100 truck master cylinder. It has the plastic reservoir and if you dig through enough boxes at your Friendly Local Auto Parts Store (what we call FLAPS on the Nova Listserv), you might find one with an aluminum main body.

You'll need to widen out the mounting holes a little and adjust the pedal push rod. I also added a 10 lbs. residual valve to the rear line to keep the wheel cylinders pushed out, but I didn't use anything for the front discs so they wouldn't drag. I ran out of the master cylinder into the original '73 distribution block.

Works good.

I'm using the Strange m/c with the 1/32" bore on my 69 Camaro.

Like Craig said, I had to drill open the holes in the brake pedal bracket and in the firewall to mount mine but other then that, works fine.

One thing, if your using manual brakes, put the push rod in the top hole on the brake pedal.
