Hi guys/ and gals... I am new here, and hope to be here a long time.. I have a question, which many here may seeme somewhat elementary..... I think my rear was cut incorrectly... When installing a narrowed rear with an offset pinion, do you center the chunk, or the pinion? Any info will be greatly appreciated...
Thanks!!
Chad

I've seen it done both ways and don't think it matters unless you have a chassis car.
I centered mine.
Welcome to drag stuff. Nova or Camaro? Please let it be a Nova!!!!!

If I'm not mistaken you can have that rear end re-tubed and cut to the right length. Than all you would be out is a new set of axles. Call a drive line shop and see if that's the case. It will cost less and you won't have to relocate the 4 link brackets.
If not than I would get a new housing cut to your spec's and be done with it.

Can you have he longer tube and axle cut down, slide the axle over and be done with it? I wouldn't think it would be too expensive to cut the end off the tube, cut the tube down a bit and weld the end back on...lop some off the end of the axle and move your link mounts???
