turbo 400 trans
Question, My cousin is putting a 400 turbo trans in his camaro, There is a bolt screwed into the tail shaft? we took it out is it suppose to be in there? haven't tried it out on track, but it backs up and goes forward, don't know about shifting raining here. On the module is there any thing to do for drag racing only? Any IDEAS! thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One guy said screw in all the way in and forget it?
Re: turbo 400 trans
Joe,
I think that bolt is for truck applications. If I remember correctly they bolted their yokes into place if they used a carrier bearing in the drive shaft system.
Might do some research into that though to make sure my feeble memory serves me correctly...

Re: turbo 400 trans
Your dead on Don, truck applications usually were bolted on, Heavy duty truck version usually had a drum brake attached also, used for a parking brake.
I am not really sure what the question is, but I am pretty sure the answer is Big Block.
