Rear end Carrier
I am going to be building a 12 bolt for my 69 Nova and I was wondering if anybody is running something other than a spool? I wondered if a locker of some sort works very good on the track, I am planning on driving this car on the street from time to time and don't want the head aches of having a spool, but I didn't know if the lockers would hold up to 800 hp. Let me know what you guys have had the best luck with.
Thanks Ryan

Re: Rear end Carrier
id call up mark williams ,or moser and see what they have to say
if you are putting 800hp to it have you thought of a differnt rear then a 12 bolt
dana 60 or a good 9" ford

Re: Rear end Carrier
I have contiplated going with a 9" but I haven't been able to talk myself into putting FoMoCo parts in a Chevy. I will give Moser a call Monday and see what they recommend.

My Nova has a Ford 9" in it. What's wrong with that? A Ford 9" is one of the most durable rear ends you could possibly use.

Re: Rear end Carrier
Nothing wrong with that but a 12 bolt is lighter, and a 10 bolt is even lighter yet. I've got a 9.5" in mine, which is coming out soon and going back to 9" r & p.supernova wrote:My Nova has a Ford 9" in it. What's wrong with that? There is nothing wrong with the 9", I am just a very anti blue oval person. If I go that route I would probably go with a FAB 9 housing.
