Tranny Fluid Question???

I'm getting ready to rebuild my P/G and install the new converter.
The fluid in the tranny is new and the car was only driven once since the new fluid was added.
If I would run the fluid through a filter, would it be safe to reuse?
If it matters it's Type F fluid.

Ok, I know I should put in new fluid but is the new fluid in it really that dirty?
We run our gas meter oil through coffee filters and reuse that many times over, and seeing that this tranny fluid is next to new, would it really hurt if I filtered it and reused it?
But then again, I can see this question being as stupid as the one that I read where the guy asked if he really needed rear brakes????

If we were talking about your old lawn mower, sure filter and reuse if it's only got that much time on it. In fact I burn my race car oil in the lawn mower as it uses some oil. The tranny fluid probably not hurt at all and hasn't gotten hot and would be "ok" - but... as mentioned, it isn't that expensive to put new fluid in the new trans. Save the old fluid and put it in a beater or something, but fresh is probably a good idea for the Hot Rod.

I don't think I could get my drain pan clean enough to make me want to reuse any fluid that's been in it.

I typically make it a habit to dump and replace the first oil (and filter) on new motors, transmissions, etc, after the intial run-in or warm-up. It's a bit spendy that way, but when compared with what you spend over all it's a pretty small spend to be sure things are clean.

Ok fine, I'll drain it, filter it and put it up for sale in the classified section along with the 10" GER 3500 stall, Pro Street converter I'm pulling out that is still new and never seen street useage.
Think I can get $10 for both of them?

GER converter and 8 qts of ATF for $10? does that include shipping?
