Ok here is the delema I bought wheel tubs from dse cause I liked the way they fit. Any way same as piecing a strip in with out all the weld joints they told me 315x30x18 tire with 5bs, hello I don't want pro touring tires Duah. I wanted like 28x13.5x15 but they said it won't work will rub alittle am I too tall or to wide or should I go smaller rim any suggestions

When I added a strip to my tubs I had a 29 X 12 on a 12" wide rim under it. There was 1/4 - 3/8" clearance to the fender lip and the same to the frame rail...after notching the frame rail. The problem isn't the tubs, it is the frame. John has commented on other posts that much taller the fender opening it not large enough.

dms2871 what width rim's do you have? What tire? You said 13.5, are you talking a slick? Because if you're talking M/T street they are measured different. DSE tubs aren't going to get you every faction of an inch possible. The only way to do that is with full tubs to get rid of the outer wheel tub as that cost you like 1/4" or so at the top areas - Not sure about the inside with those tubs, but a lot of guy have used them ok.

What are you doing with the car? Bracket race? Test & Tune? Shootout car?

Right now I'm just going to use the car for just plain old driving around 18x13.5-15 on a 10x15 rim I guess I'd have to shorten the axle. I don't have tires or rims yet but the tires are. Street and strip tires

Have you considered the new 275 Radials that both Hoosier and M/T are selling? They are about a 10.5 x 28 size, and would work well on a 10" rim as well. Those are some awesome tires if you're looking for a highly aggressive DOT tire. They should work real well regards to clearance issues with a mini-tub.

No, they are 28" tall, 15" rim. Not a low profile tire.

These are 275's, may not be the new Mickey T's, but it's similar size.

Is that your nova? Pretty awsome, so a 15 inch rim would work considering factory is 14 I believe well I was told the 28 wouldn't clear with the dse I dunno

I saw a pic of your nova with a lady in it Chris hard hard at it. And I was wondering if that were the 28x10.5 tires on your nova. If I were to go that size would that size work with dse tubs and if so what would I have to do to to get it to work like axle shortening etc.

No, that car in the video isn't mine. Mine's dark blue and it has 29.5x10.5's on 12" rims. The 275's should fit ok with the DSE tubs I would think fine, probably have to notch the frame, and yeah narrow the rear end.
