12 Corvette Rear

#1 Post by CoMax Racing » Mon Oct 23, 2006 11:25 am

I have a customer who needs new slide yolks (stub shafts) for a IRS 12 Bolt chev from a corvette. He wants to go to aftermarket (stronger) shafts (35 spline) I called all the regular places(Strange,Mark Williams,Moser etc) They don't carry anything, I could get them custom made but thats a last resort. Any ideas?

Thanks

I remember reading an article on a 'Vette IRS for some heads up class that required a factory type suspension. I think he had some stronger components and, if I remember correctly, it was set up by Tom's Differentials. You might give them a call. I don't know about 35 spline stuff but, they offer 31 spline units.

I thought my new axles were pricey!!!!
