Hi All, Just have to say that this is a great site and I have passed it on to all my gearhead buddies, And they will check it out as soon as they get back from the frige with a fresh beer. Here is a small bit about me, I have been a car nut, well more like freak all my life. During the hay day of the muscle car era say 1969, I was 13 years old and out of my mind with the cars of the day. Just colud not get enough of all the great car. Well just when the new cars were getting ready to be relesed to the dealerships, we moved over seas and the only connection to the cool cars and what was going on in drag racing was my Hot Rod magazines. Other wise I was planning on swimming home. We didnt get back to the US of A untill the gas crunch was on and every body was dumping their muscle cars. Over the next few years I bought up old cars and just ran the crap out of them, I think to make up for lost time oversees. Well when I broke something, I had to find a way to fix it before dad found out. Got good at making the best out of a bad situation. Well lets fast forward about 30 years. Now I have the job of a life time and a few good cars as well. Right now I have a 1958 Suburban with a 454 disc brakes power steering custon 1000 watt sound system and 10 speakers, Cause Im deaf thats why. 1959 Apache drag truck, thats why Im deaf. 355 small block, powerglide with a brake, 9 inch forn rear with 35 spline guts and 5/29 gears. With the currant tune up, it will 10.65 @ 127. 1969 El Camino daily driver, all stock and starting to rust. Gonna reskin it this winter. 1973 Z28 Camaro project. 468 Big Chevy, 4 speed, gonna go to a 5 speed later, 4.11 gears, 1975 Corvette, built 355, 4 speed, 4.11 gears. As far as my job, I work at a muscle car restoration shop called THE MOPAR DUDE http://www.themopardude.com/ Check it out when you have time. here are some pictuers for you, The suburban now has a chrome front end. and the El Camino has rust.
