Re: New best NA with the farm truck
I have a thing for both those years of trucks, my first vehicle was an old 66 Chevy truck that the front shocks were so wore out that if you got on and off the gas quick enough you could get it to bounce haha.. I tell you some friends and I had some real white knuckle rides in that thing!
I've got a 72 Chevy in the back yard waiting to be restored one of these days. Been collecting parts for it. It's possible the old 505 might make it's way into that truck some day

If you get a chance to check out 67-72chevytrucks, please do.
Familiar with Regan Wilson (Texas area I believe)? He was running a 469ci motor in his (69 I think) truck for a 10.90 index and going 149mph.. He is now building a 665ci motor to go back in the same truck.
Another guy named Kevin with a 67 short bed. His truck was on pass time a while ago. Trucks been 9.teens on the bottle at mid 142mph. Motor finally let loose and he is now building another bigger motor. I'm sure it'ss be in the 8's this year. This truck is a stock rear suspension truck.
Also BigJim (hasn't been around much lately) has been 9.45@141 in his 67 long bed running a 540 in it.
There are a handfull of 10 and 11 second trucks there as well.. Much like this site where everyone is pretty laid back and willing to help out.

I think I remember Wilson's truck, it's real nice one. I don't have any desire to race the truck, just a mild mannered big block with twin turbos, you know something for hauling parts around, that kind of thing.
