Hey John, Chris just got a lot of money for all the parts he sold so he has it to spend.........
Quick go back and edit the amount you have in it and charge him double.
Told you I'd take care of you Chris

lol - I didn't include labor.... If I charged for that, it would certainly be cheaper to have a chassis shop build ya one.
Oh, I did forget to include the piano hinge which was like $9 from McMaster Carr - same thing Bickel sells for $30 btw.

A wing is in the future. Have to wait and see what the new rules are going to be if I decide to run with the newly formed Extreme Drag Radial class. The old rule was "wings can not be over 15". They'er going to have the new rules out be the end of this week end.
I think everything takes longer than you think it should. What's funny is it only takes longer because of the lack of having the right tools. At work I'm in the R&D shop and we have a full blown metal fab shop. Any thing we need we just go and make, with the right tools it doesn't take long. We even have a water jet to cut parts out with.
I, like John have a jig saw, drill, and files. I feel your pain John. But you know, it make you a better fabricator when having to do it the hard way. Or aleast that's what I was told years ago. LOL

You better hope they don't use the X275 rules, or you're going to be at a disadvantage. But, 18" is allowed in X275 I believe, at least the NHRA unleashed version.
No tools = slower fabricator, that's no doubt. Man I'd love to have access to a water jet, laser, mill, lathe, bandsaw, tubing bender, the list goes on and on and on.

I day paint it a kandy black...that would be cool. On a side note, when I went to log inI got the ' max attempts' error message...I even have the site remember me-this is on my droid.

Oh and thanks for the pics you emailed me. Helped me a bunch in getting mine done. Just gotta repaint the trunk then I can mount it. Then I'll send you some to see what you think.

Thanks man - I can't wait to get it back out either!
We've got the front end all pulled apart now, stripped down to the frame for paint and building the front end support structure. It'll be rigged up like a fiberglass one so we can pull the whole thing off at once. I think I'll get a chance to work in the garage this weekend some, so hopefully some progress will get made.

Hey John,
I'd be interested in seeing how your going to make your front end into a removable one piece.
Are you up to documenting this and share the info?

Yeah, I'll take pictures and stuff. Not sure when I'll get around to it, haven't finished writing up the wing build yet. Sooner or later I will as time permits.

Wing looks top notch! And McMasterCarr is the only place to buy materials, I use them on a daily basis
