The car looks great painted. I like the colors for sure. Sounds like the car is going to run really hard. 5.30 is stout for sure.

Re: Painted car!!!!!
I took the car out for some more testing on Sunday. Worked on the 5.80 tune-up and ran back to back 5.81's.

Re: Painted car!!!!!
Chris,
Car is looking good! What hood are you running?
I'm switching to a big block and my 2 1/2" cowl won't cut it. I would like to avoid a forward facing scoop, and really like the VFN 5" windshield length hood John and others are running - however, I've read about mixed results with ducting to the grille area.
With the windshield length hood I'm concerned about getting enough air to the carb.
So looking at all options for now!
Thanks,
Eric

Re: Painted car!!!!!
Eric I have the cowl length hood that fits tight to the windshield and no ducting to the carb. It's just pulling air from the engine compartment, and seems to work. I have been wondering if the engine compartment is at negative pressure running down the track and if it might benefit from a scoop, have just not been willing to cut a hole in the hood yet.

Re: Painted car!!!!!
Hey Eric. My hood is a 6" Harwood hood. I bought it used for $150.00. A 4" hood would have worked but this one was cheap....
Not sure about pressure in the engine compartment but haven't had any issues with anything related to it that I know of....

Hey Chris....
When you going to put the old paint scheme back on?
I like the new paint job but it's so darn hard forgetting your original paint scheme that we all grew to love so much......LOL
